I’m Tomas Cutts. I’m a Chicago-based director working across commercial, narrative, music, and documentary film.
Before filmmaking, I played college basketball, and I think that background still shapes the way I direct. I’m drawn to rhythm, performance, preparation, and the small moments that reveal something real about a person.
My work often lives at the intersection of sport, culture, music, and human connection. I’m interested in stories about ambition, identity, family, legacy, and the experiences that shape who we become.
Visually, I love cinematic imagery, but I’m always chasing something honest underneath it. Whether I’m working with actors, athletes, artists, or real people, I want the performances and emotions to feel lived-in rather than manufactured.
I’ve directed work connected to brands and artists including Jordan Brand, Levi’s, Vince Staples, and Tyler, The Creator, while continuing to develop original narrative and commercial projects.
I’m based in Chicago and available to work wherever the story takes me.
